Job summary

Leidos Australia seeks a Systems Integrator to lead build, configuration and integration of secure ICT systems. The 5‑month secondment focuses on hands‑on system integration and technical delivery for Defence/government customers.

Successful applicant will validate hardware and networks, install hardened OS and software, implement security controls, document processes, and support transition to operations with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in system integration, system administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience configuring and integrating hardware, operating systems and network components.
• Strong understanding of secure ICT environments and system hardening practices.
• Experience with testing, validation and troubleshooting integrated systems.
• Ability to develop clear and structured technical documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead system build and integration activities across the project capability.
• Configure and validate Defence‑provided hardware, laptops and network components.
• Install, harden and configure operating systems and application software.
• Configure secure networking components including switches, firewalls and encrypted mesh connectivity.
• Implement accounts, permissions and host‑based security controls.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including build guides, SOPs and installation instructions.
• Design and execute functional and performance testing activities.
• Validate system performance, stability and offline operational capability.
• Implement and test backup, recovery and resilience mechanisms.
• Support transition to operations, including handover documentation and stakeholder engagement.
