Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Systems Integrator on a 5-month secondment to lead build, configuration, and integration of secure ICT systems. The role focuses on hands-on system integration and technical delivery, ensuring capability uplift and smooth transition to operations.

Ideal candidates have proven experience in system integration, hardware/software configuration and secure ICT environments, with strong documentation and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in system integration, system administration or infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience configuring and integrating hardware, operating systems and network components.
  • Strong understanding of secure ICT environments and system hardening practices.
  • Experience with testing, validation and troubleshooting integrated systems.
  • Ability to develop clear and structured technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system build and integration activities across the project capability
  • Configure and validate Defence-provided hardware, laptops and network components
  • Install, harden and configure operating systems and application software
  • Configure secure networking components including switches, firewalls and encrypted mesh connectivity
  • Implement accounts, permissions and host-based security controls
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including build guides, SOPs and installation instructions
  • Design and execute functional and performance testing activities
  • Validate system performance, stability and offline operational capability
  • Implement and test backup, recovery and resilience mechanisms
  • Support transition to operations, including handover documentation and stakeholder engagement

About The Team

Our GEOSPACES team is instrumental in developing and maintaining innovative technologies that tackle evolving challenges within the intelligence community. Additionally, these roles will focus on designing, integrating, and validating complex tenant environments tailored to specific use cases, supporting critical customer objectives.

The Opportunity

As a Systems Integrator, you will lead and execute the build, configuration and integration of secure ICT systems, ensuring capability is delivered, tested and transitioned into operational use.

This is a 5-month secondment opportunity, focused on delivering a defined capability uplift, with a strong emphasis on hands-on system integration and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system build and integration activities across the project capability

About You

Advantageous, but Not Essential
  • Experience within Defence or government environments
  • Exposure to secure or air-gapped systems and networks
  • Familiarity with mesh networking, encryption or offline-capable systems
  • Experience supporting ATO-aligned or governed delivery environments

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain NV2 security clearance and DISA.
