Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking a Security Coordinator at our Woodville North facility on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will support our security team and help protect critical Defence programs across Australia, gaining hands-on experience in personnel, physical and information security.

Ideal candidates are eager to learn, with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities, and able to contribute to security risk assessments and incident response planning.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizen with Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
• Basic understanding of DISP, PSPF, ASIO Technical Notes, and national security frameworks.
• Willing to contribute to security risk assessments, investigations, and incident response planning.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of physical, personnel, and governance security within the defence industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support across a range of security activities, including personnel security processes, access control, visitor management, assurance activities, security clearances and compliance reporting.
• Support day-to-day security operations at Woodville North.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, Defence partners and government agencies to maintain robust security practices.
