Babcock Australasia is seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor to join our team supporting key Defence programs. You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across projects and supplier activities.
Your duties include audits, inspections, review of supplier quality plans and ITPs, and ensuring that products and processes meet customer and regulatory requirements. A Defence clearance or ability to obtain one is essential.

About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, Babcock is seeking a Quality Assurance Advisor to join our team supporting key Defence programs. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across project and supplier activities. Working closely with project teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders, you will help ensure that products, processes, and deliverables consistently meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements.
In this role, you will support the implementation and ongoing compliance of Babcock's Business Management System, assist in conducting quality audits, inspections, and process reviews, and verify Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance. You will contribute to the management of supplier quality activities, including reviewing quality plans, Statements of Work, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), while monitoring supplier performance and documentation.
You will also support the investigation of non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, root cause analysis, and lessons learned activities, helping to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Responsibilities will include maintaining quality records and reports, conducting physical surveillance of work to verify quality standards and progress, preparing customer documentation packs, and performing product acceptance and quality inspections, particularly for high-integrity items. As a trusted quality partner, you will provide guidance and advice to project teams, contribute to quality reviews and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and help foster a strong culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
