Job summary

Downer Professional Services seeks a SATCOM Sustainment Support Specialist to support Defence-related CASG Space Branch work from Canberra. The role involves sustaining SATCOM capabilities, managing inventories, and updating ILS artefacts while coordinating with the Defence ecosystem.

You will maintain MILIS/CMT-L records, review ECPs and support the transition from acquisition to operational service. The position offers collaboration with provisioning, engineering, and procurement teams across

Qualifications

• Qualifications or demonstrated experience in integrated logistics, engineering, configuration management or systems engineering.
• Defence logistics, sustainment or capability-management experience with Defence fleets is desirable.
• Strong MILIS knowledge; experience with CMT-L, codification and cataloguing is highly regarded.
• Experience developing or updating ILS instructions, ECPs and safety artefacts.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with sustainment, engineering and procurement stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, develop and update integrated logistics support artefacts.
• Support SATCOM fleet sustainment activities including inventory, procurement and disposals.
• Maintain Defence records in MILIS and CMT-L and review Engineering Change Proposals.
• Support transition from acquisition to sustainment, including asset handover and project closure.
• Provide specialist governance advice and deliver mentoring and workshops to SATCOM personnel.
