Job summary

Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking an experienced Defence Project Manager to deliver critical LAND 4140 work packages, coordinating acquisition, engineering, cyber, safety, testing and sustainment to ensure timely capability delivery.

You will manage integrated schedules, risks, costs and reporting, coordinate with Defence and industry partners, and support executive gate reviews while contributing to future capability development through SATCOM integration and risk reduction

Qualifications

• 12+ years in defence or complex programs.
• Formal project management qualifications preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Experience managing integrated schedules, risks, costs and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple interdependent work packages.
• Analytical skills to translate technical detail into delivery priorities.
• Adaptable to evolving priorities and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of LAND 4140 work packages with integrated schedules.
• Oversee risks, costs, dependencies and contract deliverables.
• Provide executive reporting and support Gate Reviews and governance.
• Coordinate SATCOM, BTN, TCN and platform capabilities with engineering teams.
• Support transition into sustainment, including training and spares.
