Job summary

Serco is seeking a Psychologist to join the Albatross Health Centre in Nowra, NSW, in a casual capacity. You will deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence personnel and work within a multidisciplinary team in a primary health setting with no Medicare billing.

Key requirements include unrestricted AHPRA registration, 2+ years post-graduate mental health experience, CPR certification, and a commitment to CPD and patient-centred care. The role offers flexible hours and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted AHPRA general registration as a Psychologist.
• Minimum two years’ postgraduate experience in mental health within last five years in a Primary Healthcare or Specialist Mental Health setting.
• Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in Focussed Psychological Strategies and Psychological Therapy per Medicare Schedule.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Australian Citizenship required for Baseline Security Clearance.
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members.
• Conduct fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.
• Undertake assessments, interventions, and formulate treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount.
