Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security is seeking an experienced Project Officer for a Canberra-based 7-month engagement to support the project manager and deputy project manager in managing a software integration stream. The role involves coordinating with Defence stakeholders and the system integrator responsible for integrating software into Defence networks.

Qualifications

• Experience in Defence acquisition projects.
• Experience in a project or program management office.
• Knowledge of PMBOK, PRINCE2 and/or Agile.

Responsibilities

• Support the project manager and deputy project manager in managing an integration stream, working with Defence stakeholders and the system integrator.
• Develop presentations, briefs, correspondence, reports and submissions for board and committee consideration.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project.
• Lead a small multi-disciplinary team and set work priorities, if required.
• Undertake quality assurance activities on an ad hoc basis.
