Job summary

Canberra Consulting is seeking two experienced Project Managers to lead complex Defence capability projects and work programs on site in ACT or Queensland. You will manage delivery from initiation through transition and sustainment, coordinating with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and senior executives to meet scope, schedule and budget.

These roles require Australian citizenship and an active TSPV clearance, plus strong governance, risk management and both agile and traditional

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex Defence projects.
• Knowledge of Defence capability delivery environments.
• Strong governance, risk and issue management.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of complex capability projects.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources and dependencies across multidisciplinary teams.
• Apply product ownership practices: define vision, prioritise requirements and maintain backlogs.
• Establish and maintain project governance, controls, assurance and reporting.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies across related projects.
• Build relationships with Defence stakeholders, users and senior executives.
• Prepare business cases, executive briefs and governance submissions.
• Apply Agile and traditional delivery methods to support prioritisation and release planning.
