Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Defence team for the Estate Works Program (EWP). The role can be based in Arndell Park, NSW, or Ordish Road, VIC, coordinating waste removal, recycling, reuse and disposal across Defence projects.

You will work with Defence stakeholders, contractors, depot teams and drivers to deliver safe, compliant and sustainable outcomes. The position involves planning, scheduling, documentation, and progress tracking, plus building strong customer

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination, contract administration or operations coordination.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers and internal teams.
• Excellent organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Confidence with budgets and performance reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management and continuous improvement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google apps; Salesforce/SAP desirable.
• Ability to obtain Defence Baseline security clearance and Defence CAC.
• Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility and customer service.
• Own vehicle, valid licence, willingness to travel interstate and intrastate.
• Australian citizenship required for Defence contract eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate waste removal, recycling, reuse and disposal across EWP projects.
• Support project planning, scheduling, documentation and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, contractors, depot teams and drivers to coordinate services.
• Build strong customer relationships and respond to inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve recycling and reuse outcomes and reduce costs.
• Monitor project performance, KPIs, risks and compliance obligations.
• Prepare accurate project, financial, operational and post-activity reports.
• Maintain project information across systems and support budget, resources and performance tracking.
• Assist with continuous improvement and business continuity activities.
• Travel to Defence sites nationwide as required.
