Job summary

Downer Group's Downer Professional Services team delivers complex defence and national security projects, partnering with Defence stakeholders and industry to shape future capability and decision-making. This role sits in a joint capability environment, focusing on capability planning, systems integration and risk reduction, contributing to Australia's defence readiness.

You will engage in governance, work packages and briefs, enabling delivery of next-generation defence communications

Qualifications

• AGSVA security clearance required as per Commonwealth regulations.
• ITAR compliance may be an inherent requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assist Defence project leadership in planning and delivering future capability outcomes.
• Engage with Defence stakeholders to translate capability requirements into actionable project outcomes.
• Contribute to capability planning, project documentation, submissions, briefs and business cases.
• Support development and management of work packages and project delivery activities.
• Assist with capability integration, risk reduction and assurance activities.
• Review technical, commercial and program documentation to support informed decision-making.
• Support project governance and progression through the Defence capability lifecycle.
