Job summary

Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking a Finance Analyst (Project Accountant) to join the RMS Finance Team supporting the AIR 6500 program. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and reporting to consolidate financial results and deliver contract cost/report metrics.

The successful candidate will develop dashboards, perform variance analyses, and provide actionable financial recommendations to senior leadership and external stakeholders in a regulated defence environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and standards.
• Experience delivering accurate financial analysis and insightful advice.
• Experience liaising with customers or external stakeholders and translating financial information.
• Ability to produce timely, concise written reports and presentations.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and related financial tools.

Responsibilities

• Generate month-end and period-end reports tracking key financial metrics.
• Review cost allocation actuals and provide variance analyses to stakeholders.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting by gathering assumptions with cross-functional teams.
• Administer invoicing, debtor management, and cash flow monitoring.
• Support contract audits, true-ups, and ad-hoc financial reviews.
