Job summary

Shadbolt Group is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a major Defence project in South Australia. The role offers ongoing work, excellent earning potential, and the chance to work alongside highly skilled tradespeople on complex mechanical systems in a secure Defence environment.

Working with a professional, high-performing team, you will install, maintain and overhaul critical equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with installation, maintenance and overhaul experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, rotating equipment and piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with precision fitting and mechanical alignment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, overhaul and repair critical mechanical equipment for Defence projects.
• Work to high safety and quality standards in a regulated Defence environment.
• Contribute to project delivery with a professional, high-performing team.

Education

Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent)
