Job summary

Linkforce Engineering seeks several experienced Mechanical Fitters for shutdown, maintenance and project works across Australia’s largest mine sites. This casual FIFO role offers consistent work across 90+ client sites, competitive rates and long-term career opportunities within a national contractor.

You’ll work on crushers, conveyors, screens and fixed plant, performing maintenance and fault diagnosis while following strict safety procedures.

Qualifications

Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter (AU/NZ recognised).
Must have Working at Heights and Confined Space within 2 years.
Construction White Card and current Australian Driver’s Licence.
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
Previous mining experience and client inductions are advantageous.
Additional trade or high-risk tickets are desirable.

Responsibilities

Execute shutdown, planned and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant and materials handling equipment.
Overhaul and maintain crushers, conveyors, screens, bins, feeders and associated systems.
Perform component change-outs including idlers, pulleys and gearboxes.
Diagnose mechanical faults and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Work safely in accordance with permit-to-work, isolation and site safety procedures.
