Job summary

Cleared Recruitment has partnered with a leading Australian Defence technology organisation to appoint a Systems Administrator in Canberra. You will maintain enterprise ICT infrastructure, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP and related Microsoft services in a secure, high‑integrity environment.

You will also support Linux systems as needed, manage virtualization and storage, monitor security controls, and contribute to incident response and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems administration or infrastructure support.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft technologies.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms and enterprise storage environments.
• Desirable exposure to Linux administration.
• Understanding of ITIL processes including incident and change management.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administration and support of enterprise ICT infrastructure.
• Maintain and support Windows Server environments and related technologies.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft services.
• Support Linux systems where required and assist with virtualization and storage.
• Monitor performance, security and availability; resolve incidents and service requests.
• Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
