Job summary

Service Stream Limited is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Defence Property and Assets contract team at Robertson Barracks, NT. This full-time position provides financial leadership and governance to support contract outcomes.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, while monitoring cash flow and supplier payments to optimise working capital. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge and senior-level financial acumen.

Qualifications

• Extensive finance and accounting experience with senior leadership roles.
• Experience managing financial operations across multiple sites or regions.
• Strong knowledge of government financial regulations, compliance, and audits.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) desirable.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis to support business performance and decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow, invoicing, and contractor payments to optimise working capital.
• Manage budget processes and support cost control and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and contractual requirements while supporting audits and risk management.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights, recommendations, and performance reporting.
• Improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance governance and decision-making.
• Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, investments, and business growth opportunities.
