Job summary

Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to provide SME advice across System Security accreditation activities within the scope of the DCE Combat Management System. Experience with Defence projects and Navy/maritime backgrounds is valued.

You will liaise with the Engineering Team, manage cybersecurity assessment activities, and contribute to security documentation such as SSP, SSP-A and SRMP, while maintaining required security clearances.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in cyber security engineering within complex ICT or communications environments.
• Extensive experience as a Defence Systems Engineer.
• Strong understanding of Defence security policies, frameworks and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Advise and conduct security risk assessments in accordance with SEA4000 Scope.
• Contribute to the creation of Cybersecurity documentation such as SSP, SSP-A and SRMP.
• Understand the security features and capabilities of current Defence and industry products and provide advice.
• Liaise with engineers as the SME for System Security across the Engineering Team.
• Coordinate Cybersecurity Assessment and Authority activities within the CMS scope.
• Provide SME support to MIWS Directorates regarding OEM Engagement.
