Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to deliver SME-level advice on System Security accreditation for Defence and national security projects. The role supports the engineering team across the CMS scope and engages with Navy/maritime programs.

You will contribute to security artefacts, oversee security assessments, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain governance and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

• Tertiary ICT or CS degree desirable.
• CISSP, CISM, GSLC or CISA certification desirable.
• Experience in cyber security engineering within complex ICT or communications environments.
• Strong understanding of Defence security policies, frameworks and accreditation processes.
• Experience developing Security Certification and Accreditation artefacts.
• Familiarity with information security standards such as ISO 27001/IS frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Advise and perform security risk assessments in accordance with SEA4000 Scope.
• Contribute to the creation of Cybersecurity A&A documentation such as SSP, SSP-A and SRMP.
• Understand the security features of Defence/industry products and provide informed advice.
• Liaise with engineers across the product and project teams as SME for System Security.
• Coordinate Cybersecurity Assessment and Authority activities within the CMS scope.
• Provide SME support to MIWS Directorates regarding OEM engagement.
