Job summary

Business Review Group is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator / Cost Modeller to support a complex Defence capability program in Canberra.

You will develop, maintain and review cost estimates and models using ACEIT, perform statistical analyses and data-driven forecasting to inform senior decision making.

The role requires strong Excel skills, stakeholder communication, and active NV1 security clearance; Defence domain experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in cost estimation, modelling or analysis.
• Hands-on experience using ACEIT.
• Strong statistical, quantitative and data analysis capability.
• Experience developing defensible cost models and assumptions.
• Strong Excel skills with complex datasets.
• Strong written and stakeholder communication skills.
• Active NV1 security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and review cost estimates and cost models.
• Build and maintain models using ACEIT and other analytical tools.
• Undertake quantitative, statistical and data analysis to support forecasting and decision-making.
• Analyse historical cost, schedule and program data to identify trends and inform estimates.
• Conduct sensitivity, scenario, risk and uncertainty analysis.
• Support lifecycle and whole-of-life cost modelling.
• Prepare reports, briefings and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with project, finance, engineering and capability teams.
