Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Commercial Support Officer to provide commercial, contract management and governance support across a diverse maritime sustainment portfolio. The role offers collaboration with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver robust contract outcomes.

You will develop governance artefacts, manage CCP activities and prepare management information to support decision‑making, while mentoring others and promoting best practices

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Procurement, or related discipline.
• Experience in commercial management or contract administration within Defence or regulated environments.
• Experience preparing commercial documentation, contract variations, briefs and correspondence.
• Knowledge of Commonwealth procurement frameworks.
• Experience with commercial governance, contractor performance management and contract change processes.
• Required security clearance Level: Negative Vetting One (NV1).

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contract management support to ensure obligations, governance requirements and performance outcomes are met.
• Support contract governance frameworks and commercial administration activities.
• Review contractor deliverables and coordinate stakeholder responses to contractual submissions.
• Support CCP activities, including commercial assessments, stakeholder engagement and documentation.
• Draft, review and manage contractual correspondence, notices and contract documentation.
• Maintain contract management plans, governance artefacts and procedures.
• Monitor contractor performance and assist with performance management and issue resolution.
• Develop, review and coordinate contract amendments, deeds and variations.
• Prepare commercial reports, briefs, and management information for decision-making.
• Build and maintain relationships with Defence, industry and maritime sustainment stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of commercial capability through mentoring and knowledge transfer.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Procurement, Project Management or related discipline
