Job summary

Intract Australia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil infrastructure projects in South Australia, including Defence-related works. You will own delivery from planning through completion, guiding engineering, commercial and site teams to meet safety, budget and quality targets.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and stakeholder management, with a focus on delivering complex projects on time and to client specifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer ready to step into a Project Manager role.
• Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and contract administration.
• Proven experience managing procurement, subcontractors and project planning.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and quality systems.
• Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from commencement through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to achieve project objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Drive safety, quality and environmental performance across all project activities.
• Identify and manage project risks while implementing practical solutions.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts and progress updates for senior leadership.
• Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel, supporting the development of high‑performing teams.
