Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security in Canberra is seeking an experienced Capability Analysis Engineer to support the development and delivery of a major Defence capability. You will conduct capability assessments, technical evaluations and trade studies to inform acquisition decisions.

This client‑facing role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable insights, and experience with systems integration and capability

Qualifications

Experience in capability analysis, systems engineering or operational analysis.
Knowledge of Defence capability development, acquisition and systems integration.
Experience developing technical reports, briefings and decision-support documentation.

Responsibilities

Conduct capability assessments and technical evaluations against operational requirements.
Analyse capability solutions and system architectures; evaluate performance of technical systems.
Undertake trade studies and option analyses to support acquisition activities.
Support development of capability requirements, specifications and operational concepts.
Contribute to systems integration and interoperability assessments.
