Job summary

Downer is inviting applications to join its permanent workforce at Holsworthy Barracks as a Water Treatment Operator. The role involves safe operation and maintenance of small water treatment plants within a Defence base, monitoring water quality, sampling, and basic maintenance.

You will work in a team that supports Defence capability while complying with safety standards. The ideal candidate has a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations, NSW Water Operator Certification (preferred), and

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment plant operations.
• Experience with chemical handling and dosing in a plant environment.
• Ability to operate and monitor small water treatment plants on a Defence base.
• Desirable: chemical handling certification and relevant NSW certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain small water treatment plants at a Defence base.
• Monitor water quality, perform testing and reporting.
• Modify dosing and treatment processes under supervision.
• Carry out basic preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Report faults to supervisor.
