Job summary

Downer invites applications to join its permanent workforce as a Water Treatment Operator at Defence Base Operations Bendigo, VIC. You will operate and maintain small water treatment plants, ensuring safe water quality and compliance on-site.

You will perform routine sampling, monitor dosing, and engage in basic maintenance, reporting faults to the Leading Hand. A Certificate III in Water Industry Operations and NSW Water Operator Certification are preferred, with Defence clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and monitoring small water treatment plants.
• Ability to perform routine sampling and monitor chemical dosing.
• Capable of basic maintenance and fault reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain small water treatment plants at a Defence base.
• Ensure safe water quality and regulatory compliance.
• Report faults to the Leading Hand and coordinate routine checks.
