Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Technical Supervisor for the Defence Maintenance Contract at Puckapunyal Defence Base in Victoria. This full-time, permanent role leads trades personnel to achieve maintenance outcomes with a focus on performance, quality, safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will have a mechanical trades background (heavy diesel preferred), a Trade Certificate III, and demonstrated leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade background; heavy diesel preferred.
• Must have Certificate III in Trade.
• Experience in leadership and supervision.
• MILIS or SAP experience advantageous.
• Australian citizen with ability to obtain Defence clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise trades personnel to ensure maintenance work meets requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors to allocate resources.
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare reports.
• Communicate with site management to develop procedures.
• Oversee administrative tasks including inductions, training records, leave, and attendance.
• Provide development and training support to employees.
