Job summary

A National Law Firm in Melbourne is seeking a capable Paralegal to join the Debt Recovery and Disputes team. You will handle a personal caseload in a fee-earning role with billable targets, working from our Melbourne office with hybrid arrangements.

Responsibilities include drafting court documents, liaising with clients and third parties, and progressing files to resolution, with opportunities to elevate complex matters to lawyers as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a caseload as a Paralegal.
• Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines.
• Excellent liaising with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Open to students if you can work full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Draft Notices, demands, pleadings, and statements of claim.
• E-file court documents efficiently.
• Liaise with clients, debtors, and third parties to progress files.
• Prepare discharge of mortgages and arrange settlements as required.
• Identify complex matters and elevate them to a Lawyer.
