Job summary

The Rockhampton Grammar School in Rockhampton, Queensland seeks an experienced Dean of Boarding (Operations and Administration) to join from 2027. This residential role will live on campus and provide leadership across all boarding houses, ensuring high standards of safety, well-being, and service for boarders.

The role includes teaching up to 13 periods per week, managing day-to-day administration, budgeting, and coordinating with health, facilities, and catering to deliver a holistic boarding

Qualifications

• Registered with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligible for registration.
• Required Working with Children Check and standard safeguarding/background checks as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative leadership across all boarding houses.
• Teach up to a maximum of 13 periods per week in line with qualifications and experience.
• Communicate and develop positive relationships with all stakeholders in the Boarding Community; lead regular meetings.
• Prepare annual budget and oversee reporting deadlines; contribute to the School’s co-curricular programme.
