Job summary

RV World Canberra is seeking a practical, hands-on team member to move caravans and motorhomes across the yard and between the Sales and Service centres. You will help with PDI, deliveries, and coordinating with external providers, ensuring vehicles and parts are in the right place at the right time.

The role requires a current Australian Driver Licence, experience towing and reversing caravans, and the ability to operate forklifts where licensed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Move caravans and motorhomes between the RV World Canberra Sales Yard and Service Centre.
• Transport caravans to and from roadworthy inspections, repairers, suppliers and other external providers.
• Act as the Parts Runner for the Service Centre, including collecting urgent parts, materials and supplies.
• Assist with moving and positioning caravans and motorhomes around the yard and workshop.
• Assist with Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI) and preparation of vehicles for customer handover.
• Help manage the general flow of internal work between Sales, Service and Parts.
• Assist technicians, Service Advisors and Parts staff with practical tasks where required.
• Help keep yard and workshop areas organised and vehicles positioned safely.
• Operate forklifts and other dealership equipment where licensed and authorised.
• Identify and report any damage, safety concerns or issues found when moving vehicles.
• Assist with other general dealership duties as required.

Position Purpose

The Dealership All-round - Caravans & Motorhomes is responsible for helping keep the day-to-day movement of caravans, motorhomes, parts and internal work flowing across RV World Canberra’s Sales and Service operations.

This is a practical, hands‑on role suited to someone who is physically fit, reliable, confident towing and reversing caravans, and comfortable working across a busy dealership environment.

The role supports Sales, Service, Parts and Pre‑Delivery by ensuring vehicles, parts and jobs are where they need to be, when they need to be there.

What We Are Looking For

The successful applicant will ideally be:

• Experienced and confident towing caravans or trailers.
• Highly competent at reversing and manoeuvring caravans.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing a hands‑on role.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Safety conscious and careful with customer and dealership vehicles.
• Able to work independently and manage changing priorities throughout the day.
• Comfortable dealing with suppliers and external service providers.
• Willing to help wherever required across Sales, Service and Parts.
• Someone who enjoys keeping busy and getting things done.

Licences & Experience

• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Demonstrated towing and reversing experience.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre caravans and trailers.

Highly Regarded

• Caravan, motorhome, automotive, transport or logistics experience.
• Experience in a dealership, workshop or service environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience assisting with Pre‑Delivery Inspections.

The Person

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, practical work and being out and about during the day.

You will regularly move between the Sales Yard, Service Centre, suppliers, roadworthy providers and other external businesses.

You will play an important part in keeping RV World Canberra moving by ensuring vans, motorhomes, parts and internal jobs get to the right place at the right time.
