Job summary

HSBC Australia is seeking an Analyst for the Debt Capital Markets team in Sydney. You will support origination and execution of global capital markets transactions for Australian and New Zealand clients across Corporate & Institutional Banking.

The role emphasizes financial literacy, analytics, and the use of AI-enabled tools to deliver high-quality client materials while managing risk and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate and institutional banking as an Analyst or Associate.
• Strong financial literacy and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of risk management.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Excel and PowerPoint; ESG Financing interest a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support pitch preparation, market updates, pricing analysis, negotiation support and transaction execution.
• Assist with documentation, credit and underwriting processes, and ongoing risks management.
• Use AI-enabled and digital tools to support market analysis and client materials with proper review.
• Build strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
• Maintain understanding of clients, sectors and market developments.
• Support new financing products including ESG and digital bond solutions.
