Job summary

Metcash Trading Limited is seeking a hands-on Distribution Centre Supervisor for our Ravenhall Distribution Centre in Victoria. You will lead a team of warehouse operators, including pickers, packers and forklift drivers, to hit daily targets safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Regional Distribution Manager, you will drive team performance, safety, and compliance while supporting day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics leadership role.
• Experience leading teams and managing performance in a fast-paced operational environment.
• The confidence to have difficult conversations and make challenging decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience working with warehouse management systems and RF technology.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a large warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets.
• Manage team performance, conduct ATRs and support the ongoing development of team members.
• Coordinate labour resources and workflows to ensure service levels are achieved.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance and injury management.
• Monitor KPIs and take action to address operational issues and performance gaps.
• Support team communication through toolbox talks and team meetings.
• Work closely with other supervisors to ensure consistent operations across the site.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
