Job summary

Symmetry Human Resources is sourcing a Machine Technician for a Brendale manufacturing site, working day shift 6am–2pm. You will operate production machinery, monitor equipment, perform minor adjustments, and support mold changes to keep safety, quality and efficiency at the forefront of our packaging operation.

Experience with blow molding or similar machinery is preferred; a trade qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

Experience operating blow molding machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
Trade qualification or strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience in food manufacturing is highly regarded.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality; good communication.

Responsibilities

Operate production machinery according to schedules and quality standards.
Follow WHS procedures including Take 5 and LOTO.
Report hazards, near misses, and incidents immediately.
Operate and monitor blow molding machines, material handling systems, and automated packaging equipment.
Carry out minor machine adjustments and assist with maintenance activities and mold changes.
Maintain product quality while achieving production targets.
Support continuous improvement focused on safety, productivity, quality, and equipment reliability.
Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
