Job summary

One Staff Pty Ltd is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor for construction and maintenance on the surface of an underground mine in Moranbah. You will lead a small crew, ensure safety, schedule resources, and coordinate with the Construction Manager to deliver high-quality work on a 7/7 day shift with on-site accommodation and meals.

Ideal candidates have trade Cert IIIs, mine-site experience, a current Australian driver licence, and a willingness to obtain required competencies.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction or maintenance teams.
• Trade qualifications at Cert III level (Carpentry or Plumbing).
• Mine site experience (2+ years preferred).
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency with work rights.
• CMWHS/Health Assessment is preferable; those with one may be considered.
• Standard 11 Induction is preferred; those with one may be considered.
• Competent in using electronic devices for scheduling, resource allocation and recording tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a small crew to meet project requirements on surface works at coal mine.
• Ensure work aligns with SHMS/site requirements and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safe work practices.
• Manage day-to-day resource allocations to match project timelines.
• Build strong client/stakeholder relationships and coordinate with Construction Manager.
