Job summary

Mission Australia in Sydney is hiring a Cleaner to join the Residential Aged Care team at Charles Chambers Court in Surry Hills. This permanent full-time role offers a 38-hour week, daytime hours, and a Monday to Friday roster from 6:30am to 2:30pm, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home for residents.

You’ll be responsible for high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and collaboration with colleagues to support resident wellbeing and comfort in a supportive, values-driven

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, aged care, or similar environments.
• Strong eye for detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Reliable, positive approach and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and respectful interaction with others.
• Physically capable of bending, lifting, standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Create a clean, welcoming home environment for residents.
• Keep resident rooms and shared spaces clean and well presented.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and follow hygiene practices.
• Respect residents' privacy and comfort.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards.
• Complete basic cleaning records and documentation.
