Job summary

James Hardie Australia Pty Ltd in Carole Park, Queensland, is seeking a Machine Operator to support our manufacturing team on day and night shifts. The role requires a valid forklift license, strong mechanical aptitude and a focus on safety and quality.

You will operate concrete mixing, molding setups and fixtures, and perform process data entry while adhering to production schedules. The position offers rotation shifts including 4 on 4 off, with a commitment to zero harm and continuous

Qualifications

Previous experience in a quality assurance environment.
Valid Forklift License.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace.
Ability to use computers for entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation.
Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Responsibilities

Operate concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines.
Set up and install molds and other machine fixtures.
Set grinding and cutting edges.
Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with Safety procedures as applicable.
Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained.
Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule.
Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specifications and that process checks are performed as required.
Actively participate in improvement projects.
Manual Handling tasks are performed as part of this role.
Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to embrace shift work.
Comply with all WHS safety practices and procedures.
