Medibank is investing in its data platforms and capabilities. We’re seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect with strong Databricks platform enablement to help shape the foundations of our next-generation data ecosystem.

The role will kick off as a 12-month daily rate contract, with a rate of up to $1200 per day. This is a hands-on architecture role where you'll partner closely with engineering, platform and delivery teams to design, implement and evolve a modern Databricks-based data

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture or Senior Data Engineering roles.
• Recent hands-on experience implementing or enabling a Databricks platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture patterns.

Responsibilities

• Designing Medibank's Databricks-based data platform architecture.
• Defining architecture patterns across data ingestion, transformation, storage, sharing and consumption.
• Driving platform enablement activities including cloud infrastructure, connectivity, security and governance foundations.
• Working closely with data engineers, platform teams, security, cloud and delivery stakeholders to implement scalable solutions.
• Establishing data architecture principles, modelling standards, governance patterns and engineering frameworks.
• Supporting the development of data products that are secure, reusable and fit for enterprise scale.
• Contributing to architecture roadmaps, reference patterns and best practices across the broader data landscape.
• Providing architectural guidance across data, analytics and AI initiatives.
