Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Data Test Analyst looking for a high-impact opportunity in the heart of Brisbane? We are currently seeking a talented testing professional to join a dynamic, enterprise data team on an initial contract through to 30 June 2027, with strong potential for extension. Offering a collaborative Brisbane CBD base combined with flexible work-from-home arrangements, this role gives you the opportunity to validate complex enterprise data pipelines and drive testing excellence across cutting-edge cloud data platforms.

What You Will Do:

• Design, build, and execute robust automated test suites using advanced SQL scripts to validate complex data transformations.
• Perform end-to-end testing across modern data architectures, focusing on DBT models and Azure Data Factory (ADF) ETL pipelines.
• Validate enterprise reporting outputs and underlying data structures, including testing Power BI scripting and semantic layers.
• Integrate automated data quality and regression tests seamlessly into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines while managing version control via Git.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and project stakeholders to identify defects early and ensure high standards of data integrity and quality.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Demonstrated commercial experience in data test automation with advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
• Proven track record validating data workflows, transformation models (DBT), and ETL pipelines built with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Hands‑on familiarity with modern cloud engineering environments, specifically Azure DevOps and Git repositories.
• Solid understanding of data visualisation tools and reporting logic, with Power BI scripting experience highly regarded.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving capabilities, and excellent stakeholder communication skills within fast‑paced enterprise environments.
