Job summary

Synergy, Western Australia's leading electricity generator and retailer, invites applications for a Data Scientist based in Perth. You will develop forecasting, analytics and optimisation solutions applying advanced statistical techniques and machine learning to improve customer outcomes and support DER integration.

The role works cross-functionally with Customer, Future Energy and Technology & Business Services to deliver analytical products, tools and insights that drive business value.

Qualifications

• Experience applying SQL and Python to develop predictive models and data-driven insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with large datasets.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive, prescriptive and ML models to solve business challenges and support customer and market outcomes.
• Analyze customer, market and operational data to generate insights and recommendations for commercial performance.
• Support forecasting, pricing and market models to optimise product performance and customer value.
• Design and deliver analytical tools and solutions to improve data-driven decision making and efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
