Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to join the ICT team, ensuring data quality and reliability across pipelines, warehousing and BI reporting. The role covers data modelling, semantic models and end-to-end data validation from source to end-user consumption.

You’ll collaborate with Data, Engineering, BI and ICT teams to investigate issues, support remediation and ensure go-live data accuracy. Strong SQL, Python and DAX skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering data quality and validation.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and SQL environments.
• Ability to translate requirements into data validation plans.
• Experience validating data pipelines, data models and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute data quality and validation plans based on business requirements and rules.
• Validate data pipelines, databases, transformations, data models and warehousing environments.
• Perform data reconciliation and investigate discrepancies across source and target environments.
• Validate Power BI semantic models and reports, ensuring data accuracy.
• Work across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and SQL environments.
• Use SQL, Python and DAX to analyse, validate and troubleshoot data.
• Translate requirements into effective data validation approaches and test cases.
• Identify and track data quality issues with developers and data teams for remediation.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve data discrepancies.
• Produce validation and quality reporting for go-lives and releases.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of data quality practices across the team.
