BizCover Pty is seeking two Data Engineers in Sydney to own end‑to‑end data pipelines and models, leveraging Snowflake, dbt Cloud and MSSQL. The role emphasizes data quality, lineage, and reliability, with collaboration across teams.

Hybrid work is available, two days from home and three in the office. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of experience, strong testing and observability skills, and an interest in applying AI tools to improve the data stack.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands‑on data engineering experience.
• Experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt Cloud and MSSQL.
• Ability to model data using best practices.
• Proficiency in writing tests, observability and reliability.
• Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
• Hands‑on use of AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Interest in adopting emerging AI capabilities in the modern data stack.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of data pipelines, models and tests.
• Implement reusable patterns and model structures in MSSQL, dbt Cloud and Snowflake.
• Monitor data quality, lineage and job health.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to define scalable data solutions.
