Job summary

Land Services SA is seeking a collaborative Technical Product Owner – Data to shape and deliver our emerging suite of data products. You will own the product backlog and guide data products through their lifecycle, working with stakeholders, product teams and technology specialists.

This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex problems, translating needs into actionable requirements, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver customer-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
• Strong interest in data with cloud tech knowledge.
• Understanding of APIs and AI models or AI-enabled solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in agile and/or DevOps environments.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and balance value and feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop and prioritise the product development backlog for data products and services.
• Work with stakeholders to understand customer needs, user requirements and commercial opportunities.
• Write clear, high-quality user stories and support effective prioritisation of development work.
• Help manage releases in line with operational requirements and business priorities.
• Lead geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams to bring product ideas to life.
• Support the delivery of new API frameworks, AI-ready data services and bulk data services.
• Translate complex technical and commercial concepts into clear product requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement across Product and Technology, challenging how we work, collaborate and solve problems.
