Job summary

Qantas is undergoing a data transformation to a Snowflake-based platform. The Senior Manager, Data Product and Engagement leads the data product portfolio across Qantas Airways, QantasLink, and shared services, ensuring adoption, governance, and alignment with business objectives.

You will lead a team of Data Product Leads, establish business ownership of data products, and drive value through certified data assets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data and analytics with leadership accountability for enterprise-scale data products
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline; postgraduate qualifications desirable
• Proven ownership of an enterprise data product or analytics portfolio, including prioritisation and delivery accountability
• Deep knowledge of data product practices, including data-as-a-product, data contracts, interfaces and governance
• Strong portfolio delivery discipline across multiple teams, including estimation and forecasting

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Product Leads and represent the function at governance forums
• Own and prioritise the enterprise data product portfolio across business units
• Resolve competing demand and align with enterprise value and platform standards
• Manage portfolio roadmap, delivery commitments, risks, capacity and investment
• Maximise portfolio value through reuse of certified data products and cost control
• Lead migration from legacy data platforms to the Snowflake-based platform
• Establish and embed the data product operating model with business owners and governance
