Job summary

EHPlabs is seeking a hands-on Data Platform Engineer to own a modern cloud data platform on Google Cloud. You will build and run pipelines from NetSuite, Shopify and marketing feeds into BigQuery, and serve internal apps, dashboards and AI tools.

You will work across data engineering, governance and IT operations, owning pipelines, data quality, access controls and runbooks, with a bias for practical, well-documented changes and security.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated SQL and data modelling capability (1–3 years or equivalent).
• Strong, hand-written SQL with advanced techniques (joins, window functions, CTEs).
• Experience building SQL views and data models over a warehouse.
• Familiarity with data from multiple sources (ERP/e-commerce) and validating outputs.
• Scripting ability (Python) for automation and data checks.
• Git and basic deployment workflows.
• Governance mindset: access control, data residency, environment separation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor data ingestion into BigQuery from NetSuite, Shopify and marketing platforms; manage connectors and scheduled jobs.
• Build and maintain the SQL transformation layer for clean, business-ready datasets.
• Support internal applications, dashboards and AI tooling by preparing datasets and validating outputs.
• Track data quality and resolve discrepancies with data owners.
• Document pipelines, datasets and runbooks to ensure maintainability.
• Contribute to onboarding new data domains and tools as the platform expands.
