Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Data Operations Analyst to ensure data integrity and timely reporting within Commodities Global Markets. You will manage data pipelines, monitor quality and support cross-functional data-driven decisions, working to resolve requests end-to-end with stakeholders.

The role requires 3–6 years in finance or accounting, strong Excel and SQL skills, and familiarity with Dataiku or Alteryx.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years’ experience within a finance or accounting role, with the ability to detect breaks, anomalies and issues pertaining to reporting.
• Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance or Accounting or related domain.
• Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and integrity, with a drive to self-educate.
• Proficiency in working with data, including the ability to analyse and interrogate large datasets using Excel and SQL; Dataiku and Alteryx experience is desired but not mandatory.
• Ability to distil technical requirements into clear, accessible language for peers and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage data pipelines and monitor data quality to support data-driven decisions.
• Oversee end-to-end data requests and issue resolution with timely stakeholder updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and streamline processes.
• Maintain business-as-usual data pipelines and troubleshoot data-related issues for accurate financial reporting.
