Job summary

Westpac Group is seeking a Senior Product Owner for Data Modernisation to lead the Data Modernisation Squad in Sydney or Melbourne. You will own the roadmap, backlog and adoption of reusable engineering capabilities across the enterprise, including the ADAPT platform, Azure, UWF and AI-enabled tooling.

You will collaborate with engineers to simplify data product design, testing, deployment and support, while driving standardised patterns and self-service capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner leading complex data platforms and modernisation initiatives within large-scale enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, roadmap and backlog for Data Delivery Modernisation.
• Lead delivery of reusable frameworks, standards and engineering accelerators.
• Drive adoption of Azure-based engineering frameworks and enterprise integration capabilities.
• Support migration from legacy technologies including Teradata and legacy batch platforms.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering through AMP, GitHub Copilot and engineering agents.
• Define success measures and track adoption across engineering capabilities.
