Job summary

FinXL in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to spearhead the end-to-end planning, design and execution of data migration activities within a major Customer Transformation Program. • Lead end-to-end data migration lifecycle: mapping, transformation, testing, reconciliation and production cutover.
• Develop migration strategies, runbooks and cutover plans.
• Coordinate technical and business teams, dependencies and critical path activities.
• Drive data mapping and transformation logic with Data Engineers and Business Analysts.
• Lead migration readiness, remediation and release activities.
• Manage risks, issues, governance and stakeholder communications.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data migration team.

Data Migration Lead - Melbourne

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to lead the end-to-end planning, design and execution of data migration activities within a major Customer Transformation Program. The role will focus on migrating customer data from legacy systems to the target Kraken platform, ensuring accuracy, readiness and successful cutover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end data migration lifecycle, including mapping, transformation, testing, reconciliation, dry runs and production execution.
• Develop migration strategies, runbooks and cutover plans.
• Coordinate technical and business teams, dependencies and critical path activities.
• Drive data mapping and transformation logic with Data Engineers and Business Analysts.
• Lead migration readiness, remediation and release activities.
• Manage risks, issues, governance and stakeholder communications.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data migration team.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in data migration, data integration or data engineering.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale data migration and transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of data mapping, ETL/ELT, data modelling and transformation.
• Experience with APIs, integration patterns, migration tooling and reconciliation.
• Strong Agile/Hybrid delivery, stakeholder and risk management skills.
• Energy retail or CRM/billing platform experience, particularly Kraken, is advantageous.
