Job summary

FinXL is seeking an experienced Customer Data Platform Lead to design, build and deliver a modern data platform for a major transformation program. You will oversee architecture, data modelling, data integration and data product development to support Billing and CRM capabilities.

You will lead a multidisciplinary data platform team, drive cloud-based delivery and collaborate with Technology, Data and Architecture stakeholders to ensure data quality and lineage.

Qualifications

• Experience leading delivery of cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong data modelling and data product mindset.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture or Data Mesh.

Role : Customer Data Platform Lead

We are seeking an experienced Customer Data Platform Lead to lead the design, build and delivery of a modern customer data platform supporting a major Customer Transformation Program. The role will oversee platform architecture, data modelling, data synchronisation and data product development to support new Billing and CRM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Customer Data Platform initiatives, including planning, execution, testing and operationalisation.
• Lead the design and delivery of data architecture, data layers, data products and integration points.
• Oversee data modelling to support billing, CRM, reporting, analytics and AI requirements.
• Drive data synchronisation solutions and support dual-run capabilities.
• Translate current and future data requirements into platform and data product specifications.
• Embed data lineage, cataloguing and metadata management into the platform.
• Manage stakeholders across Technology, Business, Data and Architecture teams.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data platform team.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in data platform engineering, data architecture or data engineering.
• Proven experience delivering cloud-based data platforms, including data modelling, data layers and data products.
• Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh or equivalent modern data platform approaches.
• Experience with data synchronisation, enterprise integration patterns and APIs.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks or Snowflake highly desirable.
• Strong Agile/Hybrid delivery, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Energy retail or CRM/Billing platform experience, particularly Kraken, is advantageous.
