Job summary

PwC Australia in Adelaide invites a Data Governance Analyst to support the Data Governance Manager by delivering data governance initiatives and ensuring accurate data management across the firm.

You will help establish policies, maintain the data catalog, curate data assets, and monitor data quality. The role offers a 12-month contract, collaboration across teams, and opportunities to develop governance capability within a global firm.

Qualifications

• Experience in data governance, data management or risk-related roles.
• Ability to write business definitions, tag assets and map data lineage.
• Knowledge of metadata management and data flow concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and operation of the data governance framework.
• Set up and maintain the enterprise data catalog with roles and permissions.
• Curate data assets with definitions, owners and lineage.
• Review metadata and update content as needs evolve.
• Clarify data accountabilities with Data Owners and Stewards.
• Maintain data governance artefacts and procedural docs.
• Coordinate assessments and monitor compliance with data requirements.
• Identify data risks and coordinate remediation actions.
• Document issues and report governance insights to stakeholders.
• Contribute to awareness, training and governance-related communications.
• Support continuous improvement of governance processes.
