Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking a Senior Manager - Data Engineering in a hybrid role based in Australia. You will architect scalable data pipelines, lead a team of 8–10 engineers, and drive a paved road delivery model across cloud ecosystems including Google Cloud and Informatica.

You will champion generative AI tooling, enforce governance standards, and partner with FinOps to optimize costs while delivering enterprise-grade data platforms and observability.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of data engineering teams, 8–10 direct reports.
• Deep cloud data platform expertise (GCP) and governance tools.
• Strong track record translating blueprints into production ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and observability suites.
• Ability to scope fixed‑outcome SOWs and govern vendor delivery.
• Collaborative, cross‑functional mindset with Data Science and Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain the paved road for data engineering.
• Lead internal data engineering cohort and enable self‑service delivery.
• Govern Gold‑layer models and enterprise data registries via Informatica.
• Embed acceptance criteria and cost/efficiency milestones with vendors.
• Establish data observability, quality monitoring, and SLAs.
• Drive AI tooling adoption to accelerate testing and docs.
• Partner with FinOps to implement cost guardrails for cloud data assets.
• Champion continuous value delivery and reduce legacy debt.
