Job summary

Australian Payments Plus Limited is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and productionise scalable data pipelines on our Snowflake-based platform. You will turn payment and transaction data into trusted assets powering products, insights and better decisions in a hands-on, agile environment.

You’ll collaborate with analysts, apply governance and security practices, and own end-to-end data flows from ingestion to delivery.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building enterprise data infrastructure, preferably in payments or financial services.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake, SQL and NoSQL data stores with complex queries.
Experience in Python and building data pipelines with APIs and cloud infra.

Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
Build ingestion pipelines from APIs, databases, files, event streams and third-party platforms.
Design pipelines for reliability, scalability and performance.
Implement orchestration, observability and error handling.
Apply governance, security practices to payment and transaction data.
Develop Snowflake objects, tests and data quality checks.
Monitor and optimise pipeline performance and provide on-call support.
