Job summary

Qualifications

• Hands-on Snowflake development experience in enterprise data environments.
• Advanced SQL including complex transformations, performance tuning, stored procedures, and modelling.
• Cloud-native data solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with ELT/ETL frameworks and tools such as dbt, Snowpark, Python, Airflow or equivalent orchestration tools.
• Practical experience with GitHub/Git, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong CI/CD and DevOps capability.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, security, privacy, and access-control requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and documenting technical designs.
• Banking/financial-services data handling, auditability and regulatory controls experience.
• Experience with AI-enabled analytics or data platforms supporting ML workloads.
• Knowledge of data observability, metadata management, lineage, and cataloguing tools.
• Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core/Advanced)
• Experience with APIs and event-driven data-platform architectures

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, data models, and reusable data products.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python/Snowpark, dbt, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and stored procedures.
• Integrate data from enterprise source systems, APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party data sources.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Git-based version control and CI/CD practices.
• Apply data-engineering practices for performance tuning, workload management, query optimization, and warehouse cost control.
• Implement data security and governance controls, including RBAC, masking policies, secure data sharing, auditing, and data-quality checks.
• Partner with data architects, analysts, product owners, risk/compliance, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Support production incident resolution, root-cause analysis, monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, standards, reusable patterns, and mentoring of junior engineers.
